Try adapting these. I use the relay only for domains that complain.

My LAN domain is sequestor.lan. Replace with chateau.dec, of course
also replace the host (meteor) with genius.

$ grep -Ev '^#|^$' /etc/postfix/main.cf
queue_directory = /var/spool/postfix
command_directory = /usr/sbin
daemon_directory = /usr/sbin
mail_owner = postfix
myhostname = meteor.sequestor.lan
unknown_local_recipient_reject_code = 450
relay_domains = $transport_maps
transport_maps = hash:/etc/postfix/transport
alias_maps = $alias_database
mailbox_command = /usr/bin/procmail
debug_peer_level = 2
debugger_command =
         PATH=/bin:/usr/bin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/X11R6/bin
         xxgdb $daemon_directory/$process_name $process_id & sleep 5
sendmail_path = /usr/sbin/sendmail
newaliases_path = /usr/bin/newaliases
mailq_path = /usr/bin/mailq
setgid_group = postdrop
html_directory = no
manpage_directory = /usr/share/man
sample_directory = /usr/share/doc/postfix
readme_directory = no
sender_canonical_maps = hash:/etc/postfix/sender_canonical

Replace relay.myisp.net with smtp.ntlworl.ie (I know, see later), you
can amend this list and don't forget to run

# postmap /etc/postfix/transport

after making any changes.

$ grep -Ev '^#|^$' /etc/postfix/transport
sequestor.lan   smtp:corona.sequestor.lan
aol.com         smtp:relay.myisp.net
sancharnet.in   smtp:relay.mysip.net
cox.net         smtp:relay.myisp.net
bigfoot.com     smtp:relay.myisp.net
freebsd.org     smtp:relay.myisp.net
openldap.org    smtp:relay.myisp.net

This is fairly important (well to me), I'd try doing the replace above
for the left side and @ntlworld.ie on the right.

$ grep -Ev '^#|^$' /etc/postfix/sender_canonical
@meteor.sequestor.lan   @sequeira.myisp.com

Don't forget to run postmap /etc/postfix/sender_canonical afterwards.

Sincerely HTH.

BTW NTL ie smtp server *is* smtp.ntlworld.ie, not sure what is going
wrong.

$ dig ntlworld.ie mx

Play about a bit, I'm at work during the day unfortunately.
