:) Need you ask how I made out? :-/
Scribus fell over because my qt didn't have threads support. So I
started recompiling qt. That falls over every 10 minutes with something
g++ -c -pipe -Wall -W -O2 -D_REENTRANT -fPIC -DQT_SHARED -DQT_NO_DEBUG
-DQT_THREAD_SUPPORT -DQT_THREAD_SUPPORT -DQT_NO_NIS -DQT_NO_IMAGEIO_MNG
-DQT_NO_IMAGEIO_JPEG -DQT_BUILTIN_GIF_READER=1 -DQT_NO_STYLE_AQUA
-I.moc/release-shared-mt/ -I/usr/local/qt/mkspecs/linux-g++ -o

I hit 'make' again, and it's off for another 10 minutes. It's the same
tar.bz2 that I compiled earlier, the memory is recently tested good, and
the compiler has never done this before. I'm using qt-x11-free-3.0.5,
and gcc-2.95-3, cos I never updated from lfs-3.3.
And every time I switch on or off my desk lamp, the pc reboots :-((. It
seems the bulb or the starter is gone awol. I personally suspect senile
dementia in the bulb ;-).
