4.1; Installing XFree86-4.3.0; error in build step 1

While attempting a build of XFree86-4.3.0 in LFS-4.1 I received the
following error.  Please point me in the right direction.  I am chrooted
from host LFS-4.0 into LFS-4.1.

$ /src/X/xc
$ WORLDOPTS="" make World 2>&1 | tee xfree-compile.log

Building XFree86 version 4.3.0 (27 February 2003).

I hope you checked the configuration parameters in ./config/cf
to see if you need to pass BOOTSTRAPCFLAGS.
