Do you have both freetype-1 and freetype-2 installed
with prefix=/usr? 
If so remove freetype-1. If you need freetype-1 for
some reason, then 
remove freetype-1 headers from /usr/include and
reinstall freetype-1 
with "./configure --prefix=/usr
--includedir=/usr/include/freetype1 && 
make && make install".
