txt files in windows won't work in linux

I found vim and emacs too complicated for my simple config file editing
tasks... Instead, I use joe, it has very easy combinations of keys to
remember, and it's ideal for simple tasks (cut and paste, move,
search..., save as and that's all what I do with it) .
