Not able to run OpenOffice

Here is some more information.

I installed strace and used it when trying to start soffice. I am no
expert at interpreting the output, but the last portion of the extensive 
printout is as follows:

So my next question is:
Assuming that the problem, or one problem, is that it can't find the 
[path]/Webtop/Security.xml file in the above attempts, does anyone who 
has compiled OpenOffice have this file installed? I do not. In fact I 
don't have the 'Webtop' directory in the above locations either. Is this 
something that should have been installed during the program installation?
