BLFS from host?

So doing

chroot $LFS /bin/env -i \
     HOME=/root TERM=$TERM PS1='\u:\w\$ ' \
     PATH=/bin:/usr/bin:/sbin:/usr/sbin: \
     /bin/bash --login

is ok?
