AFAIK, The "unknown bridge resource" is a harmless diagnostic that is
unrelated to the problem below.

I remember I had this one, too, but unfortunately I don't remember how I
fixed it. I think it worked after I had reconfigured and compiled my
kernel. I guess you should double-check that everything is configured
properly. Try to compile stuff into the kernel directly rather than using
modules and see if that fixes the problem.
Digitize if possible - Eradicate if necessary!
