Asus 7700 Deluxe

Actually is it's a older card now however it still has a geforce 2 gts
chipset with 32mb ram.  

Is the Geforce responsible for the video in?  or it there a second
chipset on the card that I'm going to have to look for?

This card is using a Geforce 3 chipset, which works fine with the X SVGA

module. And if you want 3D acceleration you can use the nVidia drivers, 
see this hint:
