kdebindings and gtk

I'm tending towards the sunspots explanation...

Exactly the same setup as last time - even the same box (had a *slight*
total head crash on the HDD which is why i'm doing the install again :) )

I'm actually following the kde hint from lfs-hints - no mention of gtk in
there either ...

Puzzled.

Are you using a newer KDE than last time? Perhaps you had something
installed
last time that already required gtk and you did it? Sunspots? Cosmic rays?
