Subject: Negative memory with new kernel (2.4.12)

Ever since I upgraded to kernel version 2.4.12, 'free' (and xosview for
that matter) sometimes reports a negative value on used memory. I guess
it subtracts the values for buffers and cache from the used memory. Has
anybody else experienced this?
