I am not really qualified to comment. I read the blog post and agree that
it sounds as if Oracle is hiding some test cases. However, does this mean
the MySQL product is not reliable, dependable, and free?

I clicked on the "previous post" link and read another post and discovered
this comment:

"For the foreseeable future MariaDB will be an alternative to MySQL, not a first-class replacement."

Now I know how comments from posters are, they are just as unreliable as
any source of information.

Bruce, which do you use now? I know you have supported apps that use
MySQL, do you still? Have you used MariaDB in a production environment?
