OK, you've convinced me.  But I suppose that the distinction
between checked and built needs to be maintained.
I've revised it r8456.

I've put the new svn entities into mailx and gamin, to prove both
work (package versions are what I'm using, and the new tags
are true).

I haven't touched mysql because I'm not sure which version of
LFS-svn you built it against.
