Do you have $XORG_PREFIX/share/pkgconfig/xtrans.pc? If $XORG_PREFIX is
not /usr, you'll need to set
PKG_CONFIG_PATH=$XORG_PREFIX/lib/pkgconfig:$XORG_PREFIX/share/pkgconfig.
