Go figure. It's Heimdal again. What a coincidence also as I emailed
just *today* to the Heimdal list to ask if they are ever going to do
anything about the conflicting libss library from the E2fsprogs package.

And, just for the record, the dev said he would drop libss from Heimdal
and use the system-installed copy if found to build libsl. If libss
is not found, then a private static copy will be built in the source
tree but not installed into the system.

So this take care of all file conflicts in Heimdal, except for
this new discovery about the man page, which I could really care
less about. I suppose I'll report it to the list, however.

Anyway, here's the search I used:

rml at rml64: ~/build > find Logs -name filelist.log -exec grep -H editline\.3 {} \;

Note that the file isn't installed in the 32bit installation of
Heimdal (I only install libraries after building in 32bit mode),
and you don't see it either in the libedit installation. For PM
purposes, I use a different file to log files that are overwritten
during a package installation.

rml at rml64: ~/build > find Logs -name overwrite_files.log -exec grep -H editline\.3 {} \;

And if I remove the libedit package, the original man file that
was overwritten is put back as it was preserved before the

rml at rml64: ~/build > ls -l Logs/Non_BLFS/libedit-20070831-2.10-64bit/*Overwritten_By*
-r--r----- 1 rml install 5281 May  2 14:28 Logs/Non_BLFS/libedit-20070831-2.10-64bit/editline.3.Overwritten_By_libedit

Sorry for all the noise about my PM method, but having the logs sure
is helpful.
