X Configuration/ KDE Issues

A lot of the optional extensions are already in the X server included.
Most of them are just for very old X servers. Example:
/usr/include/X11/extensions/Xdamage.h
Which defines the damage extension. I doubt if it's really used by KDE
since window damage is more a QT thing.

Anyway what's the point in including an old KDE release in the book?
Most differences are only bugfixes and I think more people just
install the newest version instead of an old version especially if its
a bug fix release
