Most lists are subscriber-only. And there is no way to please everyone.
Some will love it, some will hate. Regardless of client filtering, every
spam that comes in has to be sent to 100's (some lists 1000's) of
people. There is no justification for that kind of load. The spam
filtering problems will be worked on. This is intended to be a stop-gap
(though it may prove to be a nice feature, too).
