I grepped through the book to find all occurrences of the 'tar'
command. I set them all to the following standards.

1. Dropped using the -z and -j parameters as they aren't required
any longer.

2. Used the -v parameter if the tar command is used to install
permanent files on the system (so it will be logged).

3. Did not use (removed if required) the -v parameter if the tar
command is being used to only install files into a source tree
(logging not desired).

4. Set the parameters so that the -f always preceded a filename.
(i.e., used syntax of tar -xvf filename.tar.gz)
