I figured out what happened. I installed the Nvidia binary drivers. It

-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 652 Mar 22 09:36 libGL.la
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 485260 Mar 22 09:36 libGL.so.1.0.7174
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 7626156 Mar 22 09:36 libGLcore.so.1.0.7174
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 2320 Mar 22 09:36 libnvidia-tls.so.1.0.7174

and made the links. We definitely do not have to mention the Mesa
drivers. The problem is now personal. I can either have the GL
secreensavers or the hardware accelerated GL apps, but not both at the
same time. :(
