There are certain times when we cannot keep the lines below 80 chars.
I cannot think of a specific example, but I'll find one and point it out.

Additionally, keep any commands (stuff in <userinput> tags) below about
72 chars if you can. Anything over that runs off the page in a rendered
PDF version.
