Works great with no patch. And there is no patch in the repo.
What exactly are you talking about? LFS uses no patch. So, the
only thing I can think a patch would be for is linking against
PAM. But I'm not noticing any issues without a patch.

Perhaps you're thinking about the Linux-PAM patch for compiling
with GCC-4?

How 'bout some tips here, DJ. Nobody has mentioned anything and
as I've said, there is no patch in the repo. To spare me much
research, can you point me to the patch?
