I simple modification to the bootscript can fix it. This is what I have
been using, and the /proc/fs/nfsd is their.

For Start
                echo -n "Starting NFS Server:"
                echo -n " exportfs"
                exportfs -r  || failed=1
                echo -n " rpc.mountd" || failed=1
                rpc.mountd
                echo -n " rpc.nfsd" || failed=1
                rpc.nfsd 8
                echo -n " rpc.statd" || failed=1
                rpc.statd

For Stop
                echo -n "Stopping NFS Server:"
                echo -n " rpc.statd"
                killproc rpc.statd -msg || failed=1
                echo -n " rpc.nfsd"
                killproc nfsd -msg || failed=1
                echo -n " rpc.mountd"
                killproc rpc.mountd -msg || failed=1
