Well, I'm just about to commit the changes regarding this matter to CVS.
I'll say from the start that I'm not happy with the layout of the new
appendix.  It's messy and clutterred and has too much repetition too
much repetition. (sorry!).  I think that it'll end up being replaced
with a table like this:
