I follow steps in Building LFS-6.0 with nALFS 1.2.3
<http://www.linuxhomenetworking.com/forums/showthread.php/1320-Building-LFS-6-0-with-nALFS-1-2-3>
in step 7 , at "And do what it says press the m key to run the elements we
marked above and presto you lfs-6.0 system will start building." point , I
enter m key and chapter 5 is running that stoped with below error :

what I done to fix this error ? is this error meaning that the user don't
exist or chpass command don't running ?

this is the xml file :
<alfs>

<stage name="Adding the LFS User">
<execute command="groupadd -f lfs" />

<execute command="id -u &lfs-user; &> /dev/null || useradd -s /bin/bash
-g lfs -m -k /dev/null &lfs-user;" />

<execute command="echo &lfs-user;:&lfs-password; | chpasswd" />

<ownership user="&lfs-user;">
<name>&LFS;/tools</name>
<name>&LFS;&build_dir;</name>
</ownership>
</stage>

</alfs>
