No, that wont work.  A DOCTYPE is read from buttom up.  So bash.ver gets
defined first, then bash.dir, then bash.pgk.  It won't work the other
way around.  It's why for the longest of times, i couldn't figure this
out, untill i spend a bit of time with my noise deep into a book.
