annoying directory names

hi there,

i just started playing around with alfs and made some changes to the
profile(s).
but when i actually start alfs.pl i realized that i forgot to change
the path names of a package when i substituted a package with another
version.

e.g. the directory bash-2.04 unpacks is "hard-coded" in the xml-profile
so when i substitute bash-2.04 with a later package (don't even know if
there is one - aaah, tis just an example ;-) i need to change all the
path names in all the places which have a bash-2.04 specific path name
:-(

since (most) archives unpack into "name-version" it would be possible
to determine that path an substitute a predefined string like "PKG_PATH"
or something similar ...

packages that don't match that behaviour should not be that hard to
determine (-> alfs fails *g*)

ain't that useful? ;-)

regards
nic.
