Yo,

Boys and girls, IPC has started.. special thanks to David for hacking
this perl backend and frontend together.

Bryan and myself have bough given it a thumbs up, allthough it's still
pretty "beta" (i think there's a few memory leaks still, etc..not too
nice :)

All i know is that right now it's using plain raw TCP/IP sockets for
messaging, with an interesting twist on tags (i'll let David/Bryan
comment on that, they know alot more about it)

Just forwarding at Gerard's request..

Howdy,

Check out

http://junk.highos.com/ALFS/ALFS-0.0.4.tar.bz2

Umm put ALFS/ and ALFS.pm in like

/usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.6.0/

so the @INC variable doesn't complain. Also
if you see something like

"XML error while parsing Message:
no element found at line 1,
column 0, byte -1 at /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.6.0/i686-linux/XML/Parser.pm
line 185"

that's normal :)

Run ./backend in one term, ./frontend /path/to/profiles in another term.

Have fun,
Bryan
