Go for it, libxml2 is a very good XML parser, and like you said, it is
updated fairly often and has a number of XML extensions allready
finished or in the works. (XPath/XPointer/XInclude; they aren't
perfect but they work)

It's the best C XML parser i've been able to find; which is the reason i
had been using it.

I can't speak for how well the Perl libxml2 modules are thou; but they
should be near the same quality, i know alot of them are being used with
axkit.

[OT: One thing that will be nice when perl6 is released; it will have it's
own XML parser; not based on external libraries.. at least that's what
Bryan was saying last i talked to him. (i've always found it kinda funny
how everyone says that perl is perfect/great/the best for parsing text
files when it doesn't even have it's own XML parser, but anyways :)]
